Me being "artistic" with my photography

I really like these three pictures. The first one I just happened to catch as Jacob was looking for our cat through the fence.

The second one I took about six of until I got this one that I really like.

And lastly the third one is a picture of Jacobs hands on his shoes. I just captured it. He was standing right in front of me with me on the floor taking pictures. I was really pleased with these three.

A rainy day never stops the kids from playing

The one of the two together is my new favorite one of the two of them. I got quite a few really good ones of the kiddos. I will post the "artistic" ones tomarrow.

Cue scarey music...

Today I recieved an email from a girl I graduated highschool with. She and I were not necessaraly friends, we did not EVER hang out, I think I was civil to her face but I did not really even like the poor girl.

She stated in her email, "it only took me 5 minutes of googling to find you."

I haven't been Susan Champion in almost 8 years. How VERY odd is that.

I have tried to Google myself, and I don't get anything under either name.

She only wnted info on the reunion that I am helping plan, but how weird that she contact me. Not some of the other officers. She was more friendly with Heather who is helping and I think it is halarious that she did not contact the President. He has been completly worthless in the planning. Oh well.

Do do do do do do do do (the scary music)

I hate traffic

I knew what we were getting into when we

A. moved to Austin

B. moved into a house in Round Rock

C. took a job 30 miles south of my house

But why oh why must everyone stop and look at the poor guy with 2 flat tires on the FRONTAGE road and cause the traffic to back up way past my exit and in turn effect my timely arrival to the workplace.

I HATE to be late.

I hate that if you are 30 minutes late you have to fill out a leave request and take annual leave for it. If I had planned on being 30 minutes late I would have at least gotten some sleep out of it, when in fact I got up earlier today than normal.

UGH

My girls break for it...

We have been trying to get Emily to ride a bike without training wheels for almost a year. Santa brought her a bike last Christmas and the training wheels had been left on until a week before Christmas break this year. While trying to bribe her to ride the two wheeler with only two wheels, we told her she could ride her bike to school once she was proficient on just the two wheels. Well as you may know, once she decides to do something she does it. She learned to ride that bike over the break and was ready to ride it to school. We informed her that she could only ride on Friday’s because daddy is off work and she has to wait until the sun is up. I drop her off the rest of the week and it looks like it is still midnight. (I HATE changing from daylight savings time) So she rides her bike to school on Friday. Josh watches her from the porch and checks later to make sure she put the lock on tight. Well on Friday, Josh had taken his mother and Jacob around town to apply for jobs, for her, not him and was at the house with a burnt out bubba, all three were taking a nap when at 3:10pm Josh hears “beep, beep, beep” someone coming into the house. He gets out of bed to find Emily and her best friend Chelsea in the living room. Now mind you, Emily was still supposed to go to YMCA and Josh was going to pick her up and she would ride her bike home then. What seems to have happened was instead of walking to the cafeteria to go to YMCA, she saw Chelsea in the hall and the girls formulated a plan of escape. Emily would skip YMCA and they would walk home. Now, I did not know this until MUCH later that night when Josh and I had gone to dinner and he told me. I wanted to ground her, take her bike away, make her walk with the Kindergarten class to YMCA, and never let her see the light of day again. But Josh talked me down and she is not allowed to ride her bike to school this week, and we will take it from there.
Also notice in this picture of Emily and Chelsea how much makeup my child has on. ARGH!! I don’t know what I am going to do when she actually becomes a teenage and isn’t just acting like one.

Fun with Pepaw

Memaw and Pepaw came for Christmas, and one thing the kiddos love to do is jump up and down and climb all over Pepaw. He is probably glad when he gets to go back home to give his poor aching back a rest from my little hooligans. But they do love their Pepaw and they LOVE to make him be the horsie.

Merry Christmas

We had a very Merry Christmas. Both Grandma and Memaw and Pepaw were in town for the festivities. On Christmas Eve we opened up the gifts, as Josh had to work on Christmas morning. We ate traditional enchaladas FROM New Mexico (THANKS MOM!!) and then went to Christmas Eve service at church. When we came back, Santa had come. It was exciting for Jacob, but Emily just said, "Is that it?" I think she may have been in sensory overload at that point. So Christmas was a rather lazy day. No getting up at 3 am and opening gifts. It was over and done with.

It was a very good Christmas. I got an MP3 player from Josh and money for chairs to go with my new table. Josh got a little knife thingy and Storm Troopers. Emily got a childs MP3 player that plays Disney Songs and jacob got LOTS of Thomas stuff. So overall, it was a worthwhile time!!

Santa Came Early!!!

A little Christmas Joy
